Kansas City First Church both celebrates and disciples through its worship, incorporating practices for the entire family.
Throughout the year, church members, both young and old, celebrate key moments in the Christian Calendar. The calendar offers a series of festivals, anchored by seasons of liturgical practices and stories from scripture that tell the life, death & resurrection of Jesus as well as the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church, the body of Christ on earth today.
Traditionally the celebrations of the calendar begin with Advent, a season that anticipates the coming of Jesus both as a child at Christmas but also as the expected savior of the world at the end of the age.
If you want to know more how our worship “disciples” through the seasons, the space, and the shape of the liturgy you should visit the website created by the Worship Way committee known as WWW@KCFC: the “what” and “whys” of “worship.”
